Virtual youth work
Covid-19 has forced rapid changes to services and we, like many others, have shifted our delivery to online, keeping our young people, service users and members of staff safe and protected.
We have adapted, changed and grown our provisions to provide the best possible methods of engagement for our young people. The current situation has raised more concerns than ever about young people’s mental health. To respond to this, we are now delivering our Headsmart Mental Health programme virtually, to our young people and residents.
This programme promotes positive mental health, sharing tools and techniques to provide practical help, as well as providing an opportunity to reflect. Our aim is that we equip local young people now with skills to help them that they can continue to use far beyond the current lockdown.
Our weekly virtual youth sessions have consisted of lots of fun games and crafts, along with some thoughtful discussions. If you, or anyone you know, would like to get involved, please contact us.
