Christmas can be a lonely time for young people living in supported housing, which is why we are asking for your help with our Christmas appeal.
For most people, Christmas is a time for giving and for helping others. Last year, we supported 167 young people living in our accommodation, who would otherwise be homeless.
Give a present to a young resident
Our appeal is your chance to donate a present to one of our residents, something small to the value of about £5. For many of our young people this will be the only thing they will receive this year. Presents should be wrapped and labelled male or female and should be non-alcoholic.
Make a donation
If you prefer not to give a present, but have been inspired to support our work, please make a donation to help us do more. Your donation of:
£5 – Could help us provide a gift to a YMCA resident this Christmas
£12 – Could sponsor a room for a young person who would otherwise be homeless for one month
£22 – Could provide an hour and a half of personalised 1:1 support tailored towards a young person’s needs
£50 – Could provide two coaches to lead a community-based session introducing young people to new sports and activities
£67 – Could pay for a member of the housing team to bring some festive cheer to our young residents over the Christmas period
£84 – Could keep our minibus on the road for a month, enabling us to bring people together
£144 – Could sponsor a room for a year. Providing a safe and supported home for a young person with nowhere else to go
