If you are passionate about young people and want to help make a positive difference in the local community, this might be the opportunity you are looking for.
YMCA Coventry and Warwickshire is an independent Christian charity, a registered provider of social housing, and affiliated to the national and international YMCA Movement. We work with people of all faiths and none to enable young people to discover their full potential. We run projects that are specifically designed to support individuals and the local community to build places where young people can belong, contribute and thrive. We provide accommodation for young people aged 16-25 who would otherwise be homeless and a range of Open Access and specialist youth provision for young people aged 11-19.
We are seeking to appoint a skilled administrator to provide support within our Youth Work team and to provide general administration services to the wider organisation. To succeed in the role, you will not only have a passion for supporting young people but experience of maintaining excellent records and reporting systems, a sound understanding of finance administration and working within a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment.
As our Youth Work services are funded, a big part of the role will be to become familiar with the requirements of grant funders and assist with the grant fundraising administration, including preparation of financial reports to ensure service information provided to external bodies is accurate.
As an organisation fully committed to the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, a thorough vetting process is carried out as part of the appointment process, including a DBS check as appropriate.
The position is initially fixed until March 2020 and is part-funded by Big Lottery and DCMS. It is hoped that continuation of funding will be secured beyond this date.
If you think this might be the right role for you, then we want to hear from you. Download all you need to apply below.
