Our Board of Trustees, have a collective interest in the work we do and use their experience to help direct our work and to achieve our aims. They provide the strategic guidance we need to ensure that our association is running well and is doing what it should.
Rebecca Fahy, Chair of Trustees
Rebecca joined the board in January 2018. Rebecca is an experienced Managing Director and Business Owner, with a degree in Graphic Design, a Masters Degree in Business and qualifications in Business Coaching & Mentoring, and Workplace Psychology. Rebecca worked in a marketing company for 12 years, developing client relationships, new products and managing projects for a wide range of sectors. In 2007, she established, Jigsaw CCS, a company specialising in a creative direct mail and specialist hand fulfilment. After successfully running the business for 11 years, in 2018 Rebecca sold the company to focus her creative strengths on a new venture and started New Dawn Creative – providing creative consultancy, marketing and design to local SME businesses across the UK.
Anne Linsey, Vice-Chair of Trustees
Anne has been involved with the YMCA for over 35 years and joined the Board in 2015. She was a staff member at YMCA Training from 1981 and the CEO of YMCA Training from 1994 to July 2014. During her YMCA career Anne participated locally, regionally and internationally to support and promote YMCA activity and developments. Anne remains involved with the YMCA in a voluntary capacity as a Trustee of Coventry and Warwickshire YMCA. Anne is currently a volunteer with Citizens Advice North Oxfordshire and South Northants. In the past Anne has held a number of other voluntary and public appointments including being a board member of ERSA (the Employment Related Services Association) and serving on the Northamptonshire Learning and Skills Council for six years. She has also contributed to numerous working and advisory groups in the employment and skills sectors.
David McKernan, Trustee
David joined the board in the autumn of 2016. He brings with him both personal experience of the many obstacles facing today’s young people and over 5 years’ experience within the voluntary sector. Before joining the board, David was a senior manager for a project that provided warmth, food, and shelter to disadvantaged people from the Coventry area over the Christmas period.
David has a keen interest in empowering young people to achieve and enabling them to realise their full potential, irrespective of background or circumstance. He joined the board looking for the opportunity to help serve the wider community of Coventry and Warwickshire and believes that his role as a Trustee will allow him to better see the transformation that the work of the YMCA brings about in young people’s lives. David completed his BA in Business Management at Coventry University last year.
